Meet Jen

I specialise in MBSR (Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction) supporting individuals and organisations to develop practical and sustainable mindfulness-based skills that strengthen health, wellbeing, and resilience.

Drawing on ancient contemplative traditions alongside contemporary psychology and adult-learning principles, I translate mindfulness into practical, evidence-informed skills for modern life.

I partner with CEOs and senior managers in high-pressure environments by combining practical executive assistance with mindfulness-based stress reduction. My approach helps leaders stay organised, grounded, and focused—creating space for clearer decision-making, sustainable performance, and improved wellbeing alongside the day-to-day demands of leadership.

I deliver in-person programmes regularly in Newquay, Cornwall, and my work takes me country-wide.

My approach is grounded in the belief that lasting wellbeing starts with self-compassion and the capacity to respond to stress rather than react; THIS is trainable. By training people to support themselves more effectively, mindfulness can foster positive change that extends into relationships, families, workplaces, communities and beyond.

My own experience of chronic health conditions as a young adult, shaped my commitment to this work. Mindfulness offered a renewed sense of agency, helping create the space and flexibility needed to live well alongside ongoing health challenges. This perspective informs a compassionate, practical and inclusive style of teaching.

I have worked with NHS services, workplaces, mental-health charities, CEO's and community groups to provide:

  • Customised support to executives operationally whilst supporting calm, focus, and efficacy under pressure.

  • Mindfulness courses and workshops for the public.

  • Workplace wellbeing for managing pressure, strengthening team connection and supporting sustainable performance.

  • Mindfulness training for NHS and charitable-sector settings.

  • Individual mindfulness mentoring.

My professional background includes:

  • MA in Teaching Mindfulness.

  • General Assistant and Wellbeing Advisor to the Commercial & Revenue Manager at Medicine Events CIC.

  • Wellbeing Lead at Finisterre Ltd.

  • Community Trainer within the mental-health charity sector supporting the NHS.

  • Community Outreach Support within the Centre of Psychological Enrichment (COPE).

  • Facilitator of women’s community groups.

To practice being ‘Mind-full’ as opposed to ‘Mind-less’, is a skill we cultivate by developing awareness. ‘Mindlessness’ can be seen as sloppy attention to the details of our lives, but as we deepen our focus and pay attention to the present moment we can ‘wake up’ from autopilot and move back into the driving seat.

Waking up is not just the business of ‘awakened’ beings, but the business of everyone. We have all experienced a moment of clarity or insight, whether sitting on a meditation cushion, getting in the ocean, walking the dog or simply drinking a cup of tea.

In taking a mindful approach to our inner nature; sensations, thoughts and feelings, we craft a new relationship with ourselves. We become a valuable friend that can observe and guide us through the weather of our lives with skill and grace.

In practising mindfulness we learn tools and techniques that empower us to be mentally hygienic.

Everybody is born with awareness, the practice of meditation helps us to cultivate access to it.

Sustainable change happens from the inside out

Since the turn of the 20th century, we have known about the importance being physically hygienic; but how about our mental hygiene? Just like our bodies, our minds need training to function at their best.

My intention is to teach you the tools to keep yourself mentally hygienic and make myself redundant in the process.

My offering to you is an opportunity to build a self-practice that will empower you to have an active and powerful role in your wellbeing.

Your self-practice will cultivate an awareness that enables you to remain focused, make skilful decisions, have skilful interactions, befriend yourself and align with your core values.
